“Just remember that you’re standing on a planet that’s evolving…”

The Galaxy Song – title track to “Monty Python: The Meaning of Life” – is an intricate and informative lecture on the enormity of the Universe fashioned into a bewitching and, above all, highly amusing pop song.

Written for the film in 1983 by Eric Idle and John Du Prez, the song has now – in a stroke of genius – been recorded by Professor Stephen Hawking.
