We’re huge fans of the one and only Eric Whitacre.
Sally Goodwin, hobby singer, active virtual choir member and a dear friend of ours in Brighton (UK), suggested that we share Eric’s recent Oxford Union address in our blog.
So, we’ll let her introduce this treat:
“I was introduced to Eric’s music by a friend who had just started singing again after many years. She encouraged me to take part in Virtual Choir 2 ‘Sleep’. Since then I have taken part in VC3 and VC4 as a singer and part of the production support team for VC4 and the first Virtual Youth Choir in partnership with UNICEF.
I am inspired by Eric’s music and the evolving, inclusive nature of the Virtual Choir Project. It is fun, ground breaking, energising and interesting to take part. This talk gives a real insight into the creative life and personality of a living composer and a brief look at the Virtual Choir projects.”
